Students bring a photograph to school with them that shows someone or something important to them. It might be a picture of them at an important event or of a special family member, friend, pet, or place they love. Instead of a picture, students can also bring an object that shows something important about them. It might be something given to them by a loved one, or something they made, or a photograph or object that symbolizes something important to them (e.g., a button they got after they hiked a certain trail). Students introduce themselves to the people at their table using their photograph or object.
