Teaching Tolerance Award for
Excellence in Teaching

Educators must do more than simply prepare students for mandated tests; they must prepare students to live in an increasingly diverse society. Excellent anti-bias educators do this by teaching the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in diverse settings, achieve academically, work collaboratively and stand up against injustice.

The five winners of the 2020 award teach these competencies at a master level, support students to thrive in our diverse democracy and provide leadership outside of the classroom.
