If you haven't already done so, commit yourself and your school now to promoting tolerance and respect in every aspect of school life. Use the following Guidelines to involve large, diverse groups of students in every step of the process: adopting a respect policy and specific handbook guidelines, discussing student concerns at staff development sessions, brainstorming and carrying out activities that build unity among diverse groups of students, and contacting parents and community leaders for support.
