Christine Sleeter

Christine E. Sleeter is Professor Emerita in the College of Professional Studies at California State University, Monterey Bay. Formerly a high school teacher for students with learning disabilities in Seattle, Sleeter focuses her research on anti-racist multicultural education and multicultural teacher education. She has published over 100 articles in edited books and journals such as Journal of Teacher Education, Teacher Education Quarterly, Teaching and Teacher Education, and Curriculum Inquiry. Recent books include Un-Standardizing Curriculum, Facing Accountability in Education and Doing Multicultural Education for Achievement and Equity.
