John O'Flahavan

John O'Flahavan is an associate professor of education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Maryland, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in literacy, culture and schooling. His research interests include early literacy, peer discussion about text, comprehensive school-wide literacy programs and continuous school improvement, with a focus on culturally and linguistically diverse schools.
