I am confused. I have no idea what to do and more importantly, what I will do if I have my own class of low students. The textbook is a required text! What do you do when students can't read and can't understand the material?

- Teresa, teaching intern

I think it is wrong and unfair to take an experienced teacher and expect him to water down his wealth of knowledge for these remedial students. David has so much to offer our honors students and his abilities are being wasted on these poor performing kids.

- Jerrold, 10th grade chemistry teacher

It's outrageous. These kids come to me a few years down the road, and they have learned nothing. They should not move on to the next grade until they are able to speak English properly and are able to read their class texts.

- Simone, 12th grade English teacher

With state tests around the corner, I would be concerned. David must find a way to reach these kids. They can learn, but they need extra support. I would ask Donna, our ESOL teacher to talk to David and give him some ideas.

- Francine, school administrator
