about the O C A P I C A

The Orange County Asian & Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA) was established in 1997 with the mission to build a healthier and stronger community by enhancing the well-being of Asians and Pacific Islanders through inclusive partnerships in the areas of service, education, advocacy, organizing and research. These community-driven activities seek to empower Asians and Pacific Islanders in defining and controlling their lives and the future of their community.

Second Edition Available Spring 2004!

In Spring 2004, OCAPICA will release the second edition of Vietnamese Americans: Lessons in American History ($20, plus $4 shipping and handling.) The second edition includes two additional lesson plans, new primary sources, current timeline and demographics information, updated community resources and a new student contribution section.
