Voting and Voices: Engaging Students and Families in Democracy

Voting and Voices illustration with hands and ballot boxes.

Join Rock the Vote and Learning for Justice for a webinar on how you can engage your students and school community in our diverse democracy. Both organizations have created exciting new materials for teachers that will not only educate students about U.S. democracy and civics but also inspire them to become active participants. Attendees will learn about free, use-tomorrow resources and strategies to help combat polarization in the classroom and create a culture that encourages civil discourse. They’ll also explore lessons on the history of voting in our country and state-specific guides for conducting voter education and registration drives.

Earn credit: When you complete 95 percent or more of the webinar, a certificate of completion will be available for you to download and print from within the webinar platform. Please note this certificate will not state how long the webinar was or how long you viewed the webinar. Because Learning for Justice is not a credit-granting agency, we encourage you to check with your administration to determine if your participation will count toward continuing education requirements.
