Voting and Voices

We’ve pulled together some of our favorite resources for teaching about the history and process of voting in the United States—and we’ve partnered with Rock the Vote to create new lessons and professional development for civics education!

You can take the quiz to see how much you really know about voting in America. And you can sign the pledge and promise to use your vote—or your voice—in this election. Use and share these tools, along with the resources we've gathered below, to encourage students of all ages to learn about the democratic process and become enthusiastic advocates for voting.

Everyone can participate in our democracy, regardless of voter eligibility. Encourage your students and their families to do so during this year's elections.

Young people have the lowest voter turnout of any demographic group, and families who vote raise kids who vote! Encourage the adults in your students' lives to commit to casting their ballots.

We’ve partnered with Rock the Vote to launch a new version of their popular Democracy Class, a series of lessons about the history and power of voting rights in the United States.
