The Art of Mix Publicity

Mix It Up at Lunch Day is less than a month away! Are you getting the word out?

Mix It Up at Lunch Day is less than a month away! Are you getting the word out?

We can help.

Need posters? We’ve got ‘em. Clip art? Got that too!

A template for a local media press release? Start working on that now. We have a Word document to get you going.

Is Mix It Up at Lunch Day on your school’s calendars? Are you getting the event in your school’s daily or weekly announcements, so students know it’s coming? Are you publicizing on Facebook, Twitter and other social media (download sample wording here)? What about PTA or parent newsletters? Email lists? Use whatever avenues are available to you.

Those are the basics. What about thinking creatively beyond that?

Do organizing students want to make a YouTube video? Maybe a mixed-up group sitting around a lunch table, talking about the things they have in common? That could be a great class project.

Let us know—via Facebook or Twitter—how you’re publicizing the event so others can learn from your creative ideas.

Keep up the great work!

Mix It Up at Lunch Day is Oct. 29!
